Order Q&A
Railing Orders
How do I measure Per Linear Foot?
calculating linear feet is surprisingly simple, all you need to do is measure how long the stretch is you would like to put your railing in feet, rounded to the nearest foot. It is best to round down to avoid your railing being too long. The total length of the railing is from the first to last post, and does not include hand rail overhang or flanges.
Can I get my railing delivered?
Yes, we are happy to deliver your completed railing, as long as you reside in our service area (within 50 miles of our shop). If you do not, we are happy to keep your completed railing available for pickup.
What if I want railing for stairs or slanted / curved surfaces?
In your inquiry, please provide apt measurements, photos, or drawings if you need custom fitting for your railing. Our prices listed are for straight, horizontal rails, so additional cost may be included. We are happy to work with you to make sure your railing fits your home so installation goes as smooth as possible.
How long will it take to fulfill my order?
Because our railing is made-to-order, fabrication times can often vary. We are a small team that works on multiple projects. Because of this, we will be very transparent with you regarding wait times. If you plan to order, do not hesitate to ask us our current schedule. If you have placed an order, you can email us at any time at roundlakeforge@gmail.com to check in. We only deliver top quality metalwork, so we thank you for your patience regarding custom orders.
What can I expect with my purchase?
By purchasing rail thru our website, we fully fabricate, weld, and deliver the railing(s) you have ordered when completed. The initial cost does NOT INCLUDE installation. If you live in our service area and would like us to install your finished railings, please request it in your initial inquiry so we can give you a more accurate estimate.
General Tips
Please specify the number of sections for your order (i.e. 2 sections of 8 foot rail, rather than 16 feet). The total length of the railing is from the first to last post, and does not include hand rail overhang or flanges.
